Rest and Silence - Buyukada Island

Odnaleźć spokojne miejsce, w którym można odpocząć w zgodzie z naturą i w samotności, w niemal piętnastomilionowym mieście to niełatwe zadanie. Na szczęście wykonalne. Wczoraj odwiedziłem jedną z czterech sąsiadujących ze Stambułem wysp - Princes Islands. Podróż promem to zaledwie 1,5 godziny. Brak samochodów, konie i psy odpoczywające w cieniu lasu, piękna małomiejska architektura i ruiny greckiego sierocińca. A na zakończenie dnia zachód słońca obejrzany ze szczytu wzgórza… Pokój. 

To find a calm place, where you can connect to nature and relax being alone, in almost 15-milonth city isn’t an easy task. Fortunately possible. Yesterday I’ve visited one of four neighboring to Istanbul Islands - Princes Islands. Journey with a ferry boat’s just 1,5 hour. No cars, horses and dogs resting in a shadow of a forest, beautiful small-town architecture and ruins of a greek orphanage. And catching sunrise on the top of a mountain in the end of the day… Peace.
