Learning the city

Wygląda na to, że zaczynam się oswajać z miastem. Znalazłem mieszkanie, chyba nawet kurs tureckiego, uczę się poruszać komunikacją miejską, mam nawet za sobą dwie samodzielne podróże dolmuszem (o tym specyficznym zjawisku z pewnością poświęcę jeden post), piszę na komputerze płynąc promem zamiast oglądać widoki. Wielkość miasta przestaje mnie przerażać i przytłaczać. Dzisiaj Stambuł bije ciepłem i serdecznością. Częściowo jest to powiązane z wydarzeniem muzycznym, które czeka mnie jutro, w większości jednak poczucie stateczności jakim jest znalezione mieszkanie, pozwala mi bardziej cieszyć się odkrywaniem nieznanego.
Most z Europy do Azji stoi przede mną otworem!


It seemed like I’m beginning to get use to the city. I found an apartment, probably even a turkish course, I’m learning quickly how to use the public transportation, I even have two unassisted journeys with dolmuş (I will certainly write a whole post about this specific occurence), going with ferry I use my laptop instead of watching the landscape. Feelling of being afraid and overwhelmed, because of the city size, seems to be gone. Istanbul’s full of warmth and kindness today. It’s partly connected with a music event that waits for me tomorrow, but mostly it’s the stability feeling of found apartment that lets me enjoy exploring whats unknown even better. 
The bridge from Europe to Asia is opening up for me!
