Od samego początku czuję się tutaj dobrze. Sprawdza się stereotyp numer jeden - ten pozytywny - Turka, który jest życzliwy, pomocny i otwarty na innych. W ogóle ludzie, również Ci przyjezdni, sprawiają wrażenie, jakby przekroczeniem granicy, zarazili się tą atmosferą. Podczas przejazdu autokarem do centralnej dzielnicy Taksim obiwiązkowym okazało się poznanie wszystkich sąsiadujących z moim miejscem pasażerów i odbycie z nimi krótkiej rozmowy. Ciężko mi określić jak bardzo zależało to od mojej inicjatywy, a jak bardzo sam zostałem zagadany. W powietrzu atmosfera braterstwa, a za oknem autokaru wznoszące się ponad budynkami wieże minaretów...
