Chanta - Dance Club in a Theatre

Kolejny nocny wypad do Beyoğlu doprowadził mnie do klubu Chanta. A piękni chłopcy i dziewczęta niech w międzyczasie zabawią nas tańcem brzucha.

A next excursion to Beyoğlu brought me into the club called Chanta. If you think that theatre building with a baroque apron stage is suitable only for presenting a classical repertoire, you must be mistaken! Chanta is a wonderful time travel and an excellent equivalent of how a social life in theatre used to look like. A stage's not only that lifted, gilded, missing fourth wall, black room, but the stage's everything around. At last... life's unending theatre story, everything's a performance etc. And in the meantime, let's beautiful boys and girls entertain our time by performing a belly dance. At the highest level, what brought them a lot of tips in the end. Interestingly, boys's got more then girls and rather then women, over of the ordinary weight men were those who were putting them money under the belt ...

Te zaś mogą wywierać znaczący wpływ na to, w jaki sposób interpretuje on rzeczywistość. Bociani Lot to moja osobista historia, choć jeszcze nienapisana.

Jestem studentem trzeciego roku kulturoznawstwa. Będzie to też mój pierwszy pobyt w Azji.

Most of you probably know me personally and that’s the mean reason you’re here. For those, who had never met me, I find it important to explain in few words, who am I and why am I doing this. Self-reflection is extremely significant element of any biger written piece, because it makes reader realize author’s philosophy of life and personal experiences. Those may meaningly influance, the way he interprets reality. Flight of a Stork, although it’s not written yet, is my personal history. This is not a history of a city, but barely an individual interpretation of reality met there.

I’m a student, doing third year of Cultural Studies on bachelor level. Last two years I lived in Poznań. I have much experience in traveling around European cities and metropolises. However this is going to be my first, independent and long-term journey to Middle East. It’s gonna be my first stay in Asia.

Briefly…
I voluntery do theatre since many years. Theatre and performance are the kinds of art, that became to me a tool of expresing and observing reality.
I love to spend my free time in community places. Such places’ conception (especially community gardens) is one of my interests, because I was recently working on creating them. I hope to find them in Istanbul.
European art has in my opinion a linear character. That’s why I don’t avoid neither contemporary art, neither art history. I can’t imagine one, excluding another. Furthermore I’m aware of europocentrismus, builded over the years in arts and science. That’s why I always look for examples „out of cannon”.
Fashion’s a nice game and way of expresing themselves, if you’re rich or hipster. I like to dress up nice and eat good. I think, those’re life-important.

I guess, that these are the most important of my interests, that you should know, because they’ll certainly affect on what I’ll be looking for in Istanbul and how is my life gonna look like. Otherwise everything becomes clear if you use by me all the trendy and fancy english hashtags…
